Cross Perspective

Dear Beloved of the Lord Jesus, may this sermonette come to you with encouragement as we glorify the King of Kings. How many of you know that the flesh is still present after salvation? Once a law has been decreed it cannot be broken. The Word is a thread which never changes and never ends. And we are sowed in Christ’s Image. This shall not return void, either. Yet, many Christians struggle deeply with legalism and identity problems. I have good news for these abused and self-inflicted wounds! “The law of the Spirit of life in Jesus as set us free from the Law of sin and death” (Romans 8:2-3).

A law cannot be done away with, but we can overcome it with a greater law, a higher law, that is, “the Law of life in Jesus Christ.” The flesh was condemned at Calvary. Christ died for each Christian He called, and not the world that would never come to His calling. Salvation is a gift, and this gift comes with a price.

Once we love the cross, our cross becomes lighter

We once walked as deed man spiritually. We were dependant on our own identities to preserve life.
The Army has a slogan, “Self-preservation is rule #1.” “God has one too…” Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those whom are in Christ Jesus” Romans 8:1. A house that is condemned is not fit for living. Only the dead can live free. “All who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death” Romans 6:3.

Identify my beloved, that the law of sin and death are still present. Though we used to live by Our habits, our responses to life were based on our identity. Our actions were based on our abilities, and our motives were to preserve our lives. We based our motives on our egos. My friend’s, if you can get this mail into your mailboxes you’ll discover that your mailboxes you’ll discover that you cannot do for yourself what Christ has already done. Process your death by completely by trusting in Christ. Crucify your flesh by believing totally on the Cross, and what He did, in the Great Exchange.
If you are building on any other foundation, your house will be condemned; your hope will be that of a natural man. One cannot mix gold with copper and get purity. Flames must burn pure upon the alter of God. Trusting completely in Christ is identifying with Him as yourself. Colossians 3:3-4, “For you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ Who is your life appears, then you also shall appear with Him in glory.”

So looking from a cross perspective is a Christ perspective. “We are new creatures in Christ.” Galatians 5:17. Then why do we think like pagans? Why do we lack the sweet, sweet, victory? We are fanning flames that winds won’t make brighter. A simple answer exists right in the middle of our identities. Our identity is in what He did. Being spiritually alive means we identify with his death, burial, resurrection; ascension; life; presence, and inheritance. Yes, sin is still alive, but the power and authority we have over it is that when Christ rose from the grave there was no sin in Him. That is where our grace to change was invented. We are no longer sinners.
Romans 6:7-8 states, “For he who died has been free from sin. Now if we die with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him. Romans 14 “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under the law but under grace.” The law is a curse. The flesh is under the law. My spirit is under grace. That means that my mind must come under subjection to the Holy Spirit.
The only person’s who ever got saved believed. Christ always asked, “Do you believe, or if you believe, these things shall be done for you.” Remember independence doubts God at His Word. If you trust in self, riches, or material things, know that being saved means that God will put you into the fire to burn the dross of these former mindsets. He wants us on the altar as Romans 12:1 state; “Offer yourselves as living sacrifices’.” The smell that it creates will drawl God’s nostrils. He loves our inability, and independence. He enjoys the sacrifice of praises from a vessel of honor whom has died to things of this world, to the principals, and notions of this world. Denying yourself, take up your cross daily affirming whom you belong to. Wake up and ask the Holy Spirit, “Can I eat, or fast?”
Your only mission is to yield to his unchanging hand. Submit to Him, then resist the devil, and he shall flee. Be blessed and before honor comes humility. ~ Proverbs 18:12 before life comes death.

Before you walk after the Spirit take up your cross by looking from Christ’s perspective
