The Drought in Our Hearts

The Drought in Our Hearts

Greetings my brothers and sisters who are chained together in the unity of the spirit through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months." James 5:17(NASB)

He had anger, lust, and an imagination. Yes, he overcame his own nature. He ruled over his own emotions. And his earthly desires he crucified. He was sold out for God's program, not his own. Everyone wants power from God. When they cannot obtain it, they like Simon the Sorcerer will try to buy it. In Acts 8:18, it states "Now when Simon saw that the Spirit was bestowed through the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money." Simon had an ulterior motive for wanting Holy Ghost power.

When we want others to think highly of us we are tapping into God's glory. That allows a counterfeit spirit entrance into our lives. As Elijah spoke to King Ahab concerning a "Drought" God revealed by the word spoken, to the entire nation of Israel who the real King was. 1 Kings 17(NASB)

In our own lives God will dry up our joy, our resources, our amenities may be stripped by way of our iniquities.

God will withdraw His presence when we become cold and refuse to clean our hearts. He withholds peace when we fail to give him the glory.

When we withhold love and forgiveness to others, he withholds forgiveness to us.

By doing this, God allows us to rely on Him for rain. He allows us to see our strongholds need the authority of Jesus Christ to rule and reign over our pain and rejection; our anger and issues of our hearts. He will not share his glory with another. He will not share us with our step-father, the devil.

We must confess our sins and repent so that times of refreshment may come.

Today choose life, my beloved. Choose blessings. Come back to the City, Come to Zion. Jesus said we can 'heaven on earth.'  Colossians 3 states we "set our minds on the things above, and our hearts / where we are seated with Christ." As Elijah positioned himself he announced to the devil by the spirit of faith, judgment – punishing all disobedience when his obedience was fulfilled. That meant that he punished the satanic movements in the spiritual, not mankind.

If you are not living in a repented state of mind, do not become as the sons of Sceva. Amen? ~Acts 19:14(NASB)

We choose to hear the sound of the rain. We choose blessings. We call those things that are not as though they were. A bush is burning, don't you see it? Take your shoes off (your old mind). Take Christ's yoke, his burden's easy. His yoke is light. His kingdom is not of the world. His love is not love understood by the natural mind.

My beloved we must exercise our blessings into existence. God is near to the broken. I challenge you to cry out and mourn for the Lord is near. Let the church say Amen. Be a doer of the Word, and turn a sinner from the spirit of error. Remove yourself from the world. God had shared His blood with you. He rose for you. His name is Jesus. Call upon the rain, hear the thunder, and see a cloud coming.

If you have not made Jesus your King today, right now call upon the name of the Lord and you shall be saved.

Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: "I am the LORD your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go." ~Isaiah 48:17(NASB)
